For all who sing in the shower, sing in the car, or sing in the rain, I'm inviting you to come to only one choir practice. Why only one? Because that could be enough to see whether you want to be in the choir or not. You’ll be welcomed at the practice and given some refreshments. But no one will ask you for any commitment until you’re ready to make that commitment. The choir practices every Wednesday evening in the music room (lower hall) from 7:00pm until 9:15pm.
With the new school year just around the corner, we are now accepting new members for our Children’s Choir for the 2018-2019 season. Children in 1st through 8th grade are encouraged to join the choir. No audition is necessary.
Parents can sign up their children by visiting the Gathering Space Desk. The sign-up forms this year are “Bright Orange” so can’t miss them on the desk. A separate form must be completed for each child in the family. Please fill out “both” sides of the form & a parent/guardian must sign the back side for the child to have permission to join.
The Children’s Choir will sing once a month at the 11:30 AM Mass and at Christmas Eve at 6:00 PM, then for Easter Sunday at 11:30 AM as well as 2 First Communion Masses in May.
Practices will be held twice a month on Thursday afternoons from 4:45 PM-6:00 PM in the lower level music room (formerly called the West Room). We hope to have a nice large Children’s Choir this year so please, encourage your child to join us!
-Thank you! Ruth Peck-Director of Music
If your child (in grades 4-8) is interested in ringing hand-bells in a new youth Hand-Bell Ensemble that we hope to form this year... please come up and speak to me after Mass.
